Courtesy of the always excellent Potholes in my Blog, we have the debut of Al Rogers, Jr.’s “This Ain’t a Love Song.”

It’s a smooth, soulful cut that could easily be from the ’90s if it wasn’t for Rogers Jr.’s modern flow. It’s easy to hear the reason why the MC gets compared to Chance the Rapper, given his unique voice and cadence as well as his thought-provoking lyrics.

The track was originally titled “Love is Real,” but the current title definitely better fits the tone and subject matter.
