We first highlighted New York-based electronic artist kraKaur when he released his “R I V E R W A L K” EP a few months ago. Now he’s back with “S U R F A C I N G” another short, frenetic release that builds on his hypnotic sound.

An expert sampler and programmer, kraKaur’s music is reminiscent of producers like Arca who expertly distort samples until you can barely tell their origins.

He does a terrific job flipping Kanye West’s “Bound 2” on “Tired,” but is at his best with the airy “Canyon.”
