New York rapper Your Old Droog first received hype because of his mysterious emergence and the fact that he sounds basically identical to Nas. There was much speculation about whether Droog was simply an alias that allowed Nas to go back to the more gritty style of his past, but this appears not to be the case.

Either way Droog is quite the MC, and he continues his string of strong work with “Sleepers…,” an ominous, organ-fueled banger that sounds like it could’ve been recorded in 1995.

Say what you want about Mac Miller as an artist, but he has proven himself to be a talented producer. Under the moniker Larry Fisherman he blesses Droog with a dark throwback beat that perfectly fits Droogs’ slow Brooklyn flow.
