Black Milk – “What It’s Worth”
Detroit rapper/producer Black Milk has long been one of hip-hop’s best kept secrets, and he’s back with another gem in the form of “What It’s Worth,” a new track off his latest EP Glitches in the Break.
Black Milk garnered a lot of J Dilla comparisons when he first came out, but he has found a unique sample-based sound that is Detroit-rooted without being a carbon copy of Dilla.
On “What It’s Worth,” he shows off his improved flow and thoughtfully reflects on both his upbringing and is career in music.
His last release, 2013’s No Poison No Paradise was decent, but this is a clear step in the right direction for Black Milk.
