Wilhelm Tell Me - Growing Younger

Wilhelm Tell Me – Growing Younger

Wilhelm Tell Me’s “Growing Younger” has technically been out for a few months, but the single is getting a renewed push in the United States and for good reason. The track is an infectious bit of indie rock with just enough quirks to bring something fresh and new to the table.

The band hails from Hamburg and Copenhagen, but collaborated with Lars Stalfors of The Mars Volta for “Growing Younger” and their EP A Short Story for the Road.

Despite Stalfors’ history in more aggressive, chaotic rock, Wilhelm Tell me traffics in a much hookier, cleaner sound. Their music is closer to artists like Foster the People or Walk the Mooon, the kind of stuff that stays in your system for days after just one or two listens.

“Growing Younger” is a bit slower-paced than some of their other work, but with a strong bass line and a pretty guitar-and-whistle chorus it’s certainly no less catchy.
