Miguel’s Wildheart is one 2015’s best albums, but it’s not the kind of record you can put on and vibe to, it’s all passion and experimentation.

Virginia producer The Ologist decided to take one of Wildheart‘s standout tracks “…going to hell,” and give it some head-nod value by breaking it down and blending it with MPC drums, delicate synths and some particularly choice vocal samples.

The track now has an infectious, electronic vibe, but hardly sounds like a lazy deconstruction of Miguel’s original. It’s a carefully labored over remix that builds on the original and pays homage to its swirling synths, chugging drums and bombastic guitars.
