The Love Language – “Castle in the Sky” (Live)
The Love Language, with their mix of jangly lo-fi, garage pop and smart lyrics, have recently become one of my absolute favorite bands.
They’ve been quiet since releasing Ruby Red in 2013, but the group, headed by Stuart McLamb, recently unveiled a new track at Merge Fest in their home state of North Carolina.
“Castle in the Sky” definitely sounds more like Ruby Red-era Love Language than Libraries with its hard, driving guitars and more frantic pace.
Still, its a terrific song, and hopefully a signal that the band will be releasing a new project sometime in the near future.
Keep watching the clip for a great live rendition of “Calm Down” as well.
