Marz Leon’s single “L O N E R” instantly resonated with me as a great piece of spacey, stoner-y and her debut EP, which was premiered by Complex, certainly lives up to the high benchmark she set for herself.

L O N E R‘s other six tracks may not quite reach the same heights as the title song, but the eerie, ominous electro-influenced beats make for a hypnotic and engaging listen.

There are definitely some reasons to compare Leon to BANKS, another female singer with an electronic sound who burst onto the scene recently, but Leon’s music is even more moody and mysterious.
