I first stumbled onto Jakubi’s “Can’t Afford It All” last summer, and was instantly struck by just how enjoyable their music was.

It’s by no means high art, but it isn’t supposed to be either. Jakubi blends pop-rap with funky live instrumentation and heaps on enough vocoder for every hook to stick in your head for days.
