There’s no proper response to the somehow real, albeit incredibly strange, performance art that came in the form of an episode of “Only in Monroe,” an actual public access cable television talk show in Monroe, Michigan. The full show, at over 40 minutes long, is hosted by Stephen Colbert who, in addition to interviewing Eminem, interviews the actual hosts of the show in a the video, titled “July 2015.”

Colbert convinces Eminem to sing Bob Seger tunes while asking him such questions as, “Are you sort of sing songy rap like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony or are you more street, like Will Smith? Which are you closer to?” The ten-minute interview concludes with Colbert rejecting a performance from the self-proclaimed “Rap God” in favor of reviewing the Monroe community calendar.
