Busdriver has long been one of hip-hop’s most out-there MCs, and the L.A. native proves he hasn’t lost a step with “Ego Death,” the first single off his upcoming album Perfect Hair.

The track features a brutal Jeremiah Jae beat that’s all guttural synths and ominous strings, it’s the perfect backdrop for Busdriver and guests Danny Brown and Aesop Rock to get dark over.

It’s not exactly smooth summer listening, but “Ego Death” proves that there’s still room for some good old fashioned weird underground rap in today’s game.
